In-Home Pet Euthanasia & Comfort Care in Newton, MA

In a city of quiet streets, village greens, and sunlit porches, many Newton families prefer end-of-life care that happens at home. Boston Twilight Veterinary brings a calm, clinical-yet-gentle approach to your living room, so goodbyes can be unhurried and dignified. Your veterinarian explains every step, answers questions in plain language, and creates space for keepsakes and private moments, without the strain of a car ride or clinic lobby.

Why Newton families choose us

From the paths along the Charles in Auburndale and Nonantum to the neighborhoods surrounding Crystal Lake, pets here live their best days close to home. Our house-call model honors that reality. We focus on comfort, clarity, and all of the logistics so you can focus on your family’s wellbeing.

Services available in Newton

In-Home Euthanasia
A peaceful farewell where your pet is most relaxed - a favorite bed, sunny spot in the living room, or shady spot in your backyard. We begin with gentle sedation so your pet drifts into a comfortable sleep, then proceed when you’re ready. Optional mementos (clay paw print or a lock of fur) are available. We’ll also take the time to review cremation options and next steps with you, when you’re ready.

In-Home Palliative Care for Pets
When the goal is comfort rather than cure, we design a practical plan for pain/anxiety control, nausea and hydration support, mobility aids, appetite help, and simple home adjustments. Follow-ups can help refine the plan as needs change.

Virtual Quality of Life Consult (Telehospice)
A 30-minute video or phone conversation to evaluate appetite, mobility, breathing, sleep, engagement, and the balance of good vs. bad days. You’ll receive kind, realistic guidance on whether to continue palliative care, set checkpoints, or consider in-home euthanasia.

Transportation to Crematory with Mementos
If a pet passes at home, we can come to your Newton residence, create keepsakes on request, and coordinate respectful transport and cremation, even if we were not present for euthanasia.
