Cremation Services

Individual cremation - cost based upon your pet’s weight

• Your pet will leave with Dr. Kim, who will arrange transfer to the crematory. After cremation, their ashes will be placed into the urn you have chosen.

• You can have the urn returned to you in one of three ways

• Pickup from your primary care veterinarian’s office

• Mailed back home (or to another address you’ve provided) via USPS with tracking information 

• Direct pickup from the crematory in Woburn, MA

• Fees

• 0-29 pounds: $350

• 30-99 pounds: $400

• 100-149 pounds: $450*

• 150-199 pounds: $500*

• Appointments for pets weighing more than 100 pounds will require scheduling with assistance from the crematory (see below)

Communal cremation

• Your pet will leave with Dr. Kim, who will arrange transfer to the crematory. Your pet’s ashes will be spread in the lakes region of New Hampshire.

• You will not receive any of your pet’s cremains if you choose this option.

• Fees

• 0-50 pounds: $275

• 51-99 pounds: $325

• 100-149 pounds: $370*

• 150-199 pounds: $425*

• Appointments for pets weighing more than 100 pounds will require scheduling with assistance from the crematory (see below)

Crematory assistance - $125

• This is a requirement for pets over 100 pounds whose families have elected for private or communal cremation. 

• In these cases, Dr. Kim will arrange for a representative of Petrichor Aquamation to meet us at the home so your pet can be transported directly to the crematory. This also will ensure there are enough people there to carry your pet from your home safely.
